Welcome from Kate Lovegrove, Headteacher.
As Headteacher of Claystone School, a brand-new school supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning needs, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have worked in education both in the UK and Australia for over 15 years with the past six years working in Senior Leadership. I have been a dedicated SEND specialist for over 10 years and have completed my Masters of Learning Interventions through the University of Melbourne.
At Claystone School, we are committed to ensuring our pupils fully immerse themselves in learning and exploration within a flexible framework. We are responsive to the individual needs of pupils and truly believe that ‘Embracing Difference leads to Endless Possibilities’ for all our learners. We aim to enrich every student’s learning experience by creating an environment where they are encouraged to succeed and be the best they can be. At Claystone School, we offer creative and personalised pathways which enable pupils to develop their communication, think differently and nurture curiosity. I sincerely invite all our families to join us on this essential journey.
